Pre-nursery Curriculum-2 ½ year olds

Our school philosophy is that play is the central part of a child's learning. Activities and lessons are play based to foster the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child. Our curriculum is filled with hands on activities both planned and spontaneous. Teachers work with the children individually and in small groups. Spiritual development is central to our curriculum. We provide experiences for listening to simple Bible stories and emphasize multi-sensory presentation through music, finger plays, rhymes and art activities.

Transitional Kindergarten

Our philosophy is based on the concept that each child is an individual with a distinct pattern of development Our curriculum offers a child, who is age appropriate for kindergarten, an additional year to grow and mature physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and academically. Our curriculum is Christ centered and meets each child at his or her point of development. By creating a natural interactive setting we desire to maximize the probability that all skills will be generalized to other natural settings. We enhance five (5) areas of growth: spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and academic.

Music and Movement

Music is in our lives from infancy through adulthood. It is a universal language that can be communicated across cultures and language. Music in our preschool is multi-sensory, meaningful to students and fun.

Physical Education

We believe that physical activity and movement enhances fitness, fosters growth and development, and helps teach children about their world. In addition to the health benefits of physical activity, movement is an integral part of a young child's life and education. Teachers have many opportunities to use movement and physical activity within the school curriculum and we provide a Physical Education period for some of our students.
